How to Do Business with the MTA Webinar

LaGuardia Community College's Procurement Technical Assistance Center will host a webinar on Tuesday, November 16, 11:00am-12:30pm for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) looking for government contracting opportunities with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and Skanska. This is a great opportunity for NYS-certified SDVOBs, as well as those looking to become certified.

The MTA is one of the largest business drivers in the New York region, which itself is a global economic hub. Whether it’s contracting opportunities, real estate, or marketing partnerships, from local mom-and-pop establishments to large corporations, the MTA can help you expand your business opportunities. The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Act, allows eligible Veteran business owners to get certified as a New York State Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB). The goal of the Act is to encourage and support eligible SDVOBs to play a greater role in the state's economy by increasing their participation in New York State's contracting opportunities. Skanska is one of the largest, most financially sound construction and development companies in the U.S., serving a broad range of clients including those in transportation, power, industrial, water/wastewater, healthcare, education, sports, data centers, government, aviation and commercial.
