I Am Not Invisible 3.0 Women Veterans Panel Discussion

In celebration of women veterans on International Women's Day, The Library of Congress Veterans History Project and the VA Center for Women Veterans will host I Am Not Invisible 3.0, a virtual Women Veterans Panel Discussion on Tuesday, March 8, 6pm EST.

Women have played a crucial role in protecting our country and our democracy since America’s founding. They have served in every major conflict since the Revolutionary War. Today there are over two million women veterans in the United States.  They comprise the fastest growing and most diverse demographic in military and veteran population. Despite centuries of honorable service and constant growth, women who serve are still often overlooked leaving many women veterans to feel unheard and unseen.

Marking International Women’s Day, the panel will explore the challenges they face, communities they represent and discuss how we can all be better advocates.
Please be advised that this video includes some discussion of difficult experiences during military service that some viewers may find distressing. If this happens and you need to talk to someone about your own experience, there will be someone available to talk with during the event, or you can call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255, and then press 1.
