Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum presents Intrepid Adventures: Journey to Space, a virtual event for all ages on Thursday, July 15, 3-4pm (Eastern Time).

During the Space Race in the 1960s, Intrepid played an important role as a prime recovery vessel for NASA’s Mercury and Gemini missions! Learn about Intrepid's connections to the space program and why astronauts need spacecraft and spacesuits when they venture into Earth’s orbit and beyond. Participants will also get a glimpse into the Space Shuttle Pavilion, home of the Space Shuttle Enterprise.
