Join fellow veterans, service members and military family members at the Intrepid Museum for a lively book discussion ONLINE! The Intrepid Book Club meets quarterly for a two-hour facilitated discussion with an introduction related to the Museum’s collection and crew. Books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, all related to military or military family experiences. Copies of the books are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis (email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 646-381-5182 to register and then receive your copy).
On September 29, 6-8pm (EST), discuss Bloods: Black Veterans of the Vietnam War: An Oral History by Wallace Terry. This collection of oral histories tells the stories of Black veterans as they fought in Vietnam for their country and also at home for their civil rights.
The Intrepid Book Club is free to attend for all current and former service members and their families, spouses and partners, with advanced registration. RSVP here.
Please let them know if you have any questions! As always, please visit intrepidmuseum.org/vets for information about all of the Intrepid Museum’s programs and resources for veterans and military families.
