Intrepid Museum presents its 2nd Annual Virtual Youth Summit on Saturday, June 12, 11am-7pm (Eastern Time). This is a FREE virtual conference around the theme of "Breaking Down Barriers" that invites students to a day of inspiration and action. Hear from highly motivated teens who have created or worked on projects that address issues and problems that they see in their daily lives. This event is most appropriate for ages 14-21, however all are welcome to join.
The Youth Summit aspires to:
provide an environment that promotes conversation, development and engagement for youth to address the issues that matter to them.
increase confidence in teens and youth to make change in their communities.
engage cultural institutions, academia and industry leaders in conversation and support for teens and youth, nationally or globally.
Kahlil Green - Kahlil was elected Yale's first Black Student Body President and is a lifelong advocate for equity.
Gitanjali Rao - Gitanjali has been honored as Forbes "30 under 30 in Science" in 2019 and TIME's "Top Young Innovator" and "TIME Kid of the Year" for her innovations and STEM workshops.
