Intrepid Museum Astronomy Night

Astronomy Nights are back at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum!  Join them at the Museum on Friday, April 29, 5-9pm for fun-filled and educational experiences for the whole family.

The museum will open to the public for free from 5:00pm-9:00pm and will include talks from leading scientists, and activities from the Museum’s education department.

Local astronomers will be on hand with their high-powered telescopes to help visitors navigate the night sky and answer questions about astronomy and stargazing. Guests are welcome to bring their own binoculars or look through the telescopes of the experts.

5:00pm-7:00pm: Intrepid Museum Demonstrations & Activities

6:30pm: Presentation in the Space Shuttle Pavilion by Astronautica: Voices of Women in Space.

Hear from the composers of a select group of songs from the show, as they talk about the inspiration behind each song.
