Join the Intrepid Museum and fellow veterans, service members and their loved ones for a virtual staycation on Wednesday, March 30, 6-7pm EDT as they Zoom into the National WASP WWII Museum.
Lisa Taylor, executive director of the National WASP WWII Museum, will be joined by Annette Melendez, Intrepid Museum’s senior manager of Interpretation and Engagement, to talk about the first women pilots to fly for the U.S. military, though they weren’t acknowledged as such at the time. Hear stories about these trail-blazing women and their lasting legacy. There will be time to ask questions and share stories.
Virtually visit museums all across the country with the Intrepid Museum as they continue to offer socially distant activities. Join fellow veterans, current service members, and their loved ones to explore museums from near and far with connections to the Intrepid Museum’s history and collection. Each program will be guided by museum curators and educators, with plenty of opportunities to share and ask questions. No travel is needed for these interactive virtual visits!
