Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum invites you to join them for a staycation on Friday, June 18, 5pm (Eastern Time) as they zoom into the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, D.C.
Denise Fayne, docent at NMAAHC, will share stories of African Americans serving in the military from the Revolutionary War to World War II, when Intrepid was commissioned. Jessica Williams, curator of history at the Intrepid Museum, will highlight experiences of African American sailors who served aboard Intrepid during World War II. Join them to learn, share and honor stories of African American military history!
