Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host Intrepid on Liberty with the New York Historical Society via Zoom on Friday, August 20, 5pm (Eastern Time).
Join the Intrepid Museum and fellow veterans, service members and their loved ones for a virtual staycation. This month they are staying local and will be Zooming into the Upper West Side to visit with the New-York Historical Society (N-YHS). N-YHS docent Kyle Einhorn will lead you through the temporary exhibit So Ready for Laughter: Bob Hope & WWII. The legendary USO shows by Bob Hope and fellow entertainers boosted morale across the military, including onboard Intrepid. Danielle Swanson, the Intrepid Museum’s collection manager, will present pictures and archives from performances that took place on Intrepid.
