Intrepid Virtual Astronomy Live

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum presents Virtual Astronomy Live: Preparing for Launch: Assembling the Artemis Rocket on February 18, 5:30-7pm (EST). 

Hear from Abdiel Santos Galindo, Kennedy Space Center Exploration Ground Systems Engineer, as he talks about the the Artemis 1 rocket assembly and takes visitors on a virtual tour of how the rocket is being built.

A pre-show will take place at 5pm (EST) with an interactive origami rocket folding demonstration, from Intrepid Museum Educator and Lead Teaching Artist, Elyisa Segal.

The event is hosted and co-produced by John “Das” Galloway, founder of the Kerbal Space Academy, and moderated by Summer Ash, an astrophysicist, rocket scientist and freelance writer.
