NYC Veterans Alliance invites community members, veterans, family members, caregivers, and service providers to join us for an informative "Lunch & Learn" conversation on NYC's Opioid Crisis. This conversation will raise awareness on addiction and discuss what veterans and community members as civic leaders can do to make a difference on a local level.
Join us for a conversation with local leaders and experts on addiction and related policy. Topics and areas that will be covered include:
Addiction awareness, trends, and prevention
Impact of addiction on our community's homeless populations
Addiction policy and current steps being taken to address the epidemic
Steps each of us can take within our community and how to encourage others to get involved
A Narcan (Naloxone) training provided by GMHC including a Narcan certification and Narcan kit for each participant
Bring your lunch or enjoy the provided light fare.
