Non-Mental Health Providers On the Front Line

The Veterans Mental Health Coalition presents You Are on the Front Lines of Veterans’ Mental Health Treatment, a workshop on February 16, 9am-12pm.

Learn how you and your organization can become more effective in your roles as trusted advisors to service members and veterans by using a strength-based approach for intake that will enable you to identify some of the key signs of psychological distress; and learn techniques for engaging service members and veterans who may need behavior health support.

Bring a copy of your organization's intake form or questionnaire for enrollment in your program. It will not be collected, but a useful reference for you during the course of this event.

The event is open to Executive Directors, Program Managers, Intake Personnel, Counselors, Job Developers, and everyone working directly with service members and/or veterans.

Speakers Include:

Kelly Clarke, Program Director NYC Well at Mental Health Association of NYC, MHA-NYC; and Kate Mostkoff, Suicide Prevention Coordinator at VA's Manhattan Campus.
