Join NYC Veterans Alliance, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Civic Hall, and the NYC Campaign Finance Board in registering our fellow New Yorkers to vote!
The deadline to register for September's New York State and Local Primary Election is quickly approaching, and we want to encourage our fellow citizens to have their voice heard--and their vote counted--in every level of government!
We'll gather and get busy in Union Square for two shifts:
11:00 am to 2:00 pm
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
We'll sign people up using voter registration forms. We'll also hand out flyers listing key national veteran issues and where to locate information on local and state races they'll see on September's Primary ballot, plus how to find their local polling place.
Our veterans and families have sacrificed to uphold and protect our democracy--let's get out and encourage others to get involved!
Everyone is welcome to participate, but please do the following:
1) Email [email protected] to let us know which shift (11-2 or 4-7) you'll be there for.
2) Arrive before the start of your shift (11 or 4) for your official briefing on how we'll register voters (this is important, so don't be late!)
3) Wear your NYC Veterans Alliance member t-shirt or IAVA or Civic Hall gear to identify you as part of our team.
See you there!
