Veteran Homelessness in NYC: Successes, Challenges, and the Road Ahead

Mayor de Blasio, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness have all declared that New York City has ended “chronic” homelessness among veterans. Our panelists will discuss the controversy surrounding these statements, the progress that has been made in reducing veteran homelessness, and the steps that still need to be taken in order to fully address the plight of homeless veterans in the City.
