The Line Literary Review Launch
Join Columbia University for their launch celebration of The Line Literary Review on January 27, 7pm (EST), a new not-for-profit journal that's committed to publishing creative work by service members, veterans, and military family members.
The launch will include an introduction to The Line Literary Review, as well as readings by writers from Words After War, Women Veterans Empowered and Thriving, Voices From War, Warrior Writers, United States Veterans' Artist Alliance (USVAA), and the Writer's Guild. The inaugural issue will include work by Matt Gallagher, Lindsay Swoboda, Bob Hanson, and J.H. Crain.

Posse Veterans Program
The Posse Veterans Program identifies, trains, and supports groups of ten veterans who will pursue their bachelor's degrees together at Vassar College, Wesleyan University, or the University of Virginia. Posse Veterans Scholars receive pre-collegiate training, continued mentoring, career guidance, and guaranteed full-tuition coverage beyond federal benefits. Join fellow veterans, service members and military family members at the Intrepid Museum for a lively book discussion ONLINE! The Intrepid Book Club meets quarterly for a two-hour facilitated discussion with an introduction related to the Museum’s collection and crew. Books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, all related to military or military family experiences. Copies of the books are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis (email access@intrepidmuseum.org to register and then receive your copy).
On February 23, 5-7pm (ET), discuss Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery. Join other veterans and their guests as they discuss astronaut Scott Kelly’s bestselling memoir. Follow Scott Kelly from his time as a young Navy pilot through his year living on the International Space Station, as he reflects on the personal and professional challenges he faced along the way.
The Intrepid Book Club is free to attend for all current and former service members and their families, spouses and partners, with advanced registration. RSVP here.
