Shakespeare in the Park Auditions for Veterans and Family Members
The Military Resilience Project is currently looking for veterans and their family members who would like to audition to be in this summer's Shakespeare in the Park production of "As You Like It."
This audition is open to all veterans and their family members. You can sing, dance, perform a poem or monologue, or even tell a joke! There is no pressure, just fun!
Auditions take place on Monday, May 9, 6-8pm.
You must be vaccinated and boosted as per the public theater.
There is a weekly stipend being paid to those who participate.

NYTW and PTP Veteran Voices Playwriting Workshop
New York Theatre Workshop and Poetic theater Productions will host Veteran Voices Playwriting Workshop. This workshop series will be held on Zoom on Fridays from 6-8pm ET beginning on Friday October 22nd, except for one Tuesday workshop on December 14th. The showcase reading will take place on Friday, December 17, 7-9pm ET.
This a free workshop series for veterans and the family members of veterans designed to take participants' writing to the next level. The nine-week series will focus on honing skills specific to playwriting and on deepening participants' professional development in the theater world.
This workshop series is ideal for artists who have participated in Poetic Theater Productions' Veteran Voices Workshop Series or other writing workshop series, have a solid foundation in writing and sharing their own stories in the form of poetry or poetic storytelling, and now want to take their ability to create theatre to the next level. This series will help participants create a piece of theatre, excerpts from which will be cast by New York Theatre Workshop and read by professional actors in a staged reading at the end of the workshop series.
