The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc and the Women Marines Association will host the 5th Annual 5K 4 Fighters Run/Walk on Saturday, October 9, 9am (rain or shine) at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, Long Island. All proceeds of this event will go to the EOC of Suffolk, Inc. to assist women veterans in obtaining and sustaining independence in living, working, and securing support services on Long Island.
First 200 registrants get a black 5K 4 Fighters t-shirt and a finisher medal.

The Travis Manion Foundation will hold their 2021 9/11 Heroes Run in person in both NYC and Huntington, Long Island. You may also participate virtually, if you prefer.
The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all levels and of all ages. This is an annual event which takes place on or near September 11th. It is the perfect opportunity for families and individuals in your community to honor local veterans, their families, and first responders.

Joggin' for Frogmen (JFF), in partnership with the Travis Manion Foundation, will hold the Extortion 17 Memorial Run/Ruck on Friday, August 6, 2021.
On August 6th 2011, a United States CH-47 Chinook military helicopter operating with the call sign EXTORTION 17 was shot down, marking the most devastating day in Naval Special Warfare history and the single largest loss of life for U.S. forces since the war in Afghanistan began in October 2001. The US military lost 31 warriors that day.
