Warrior Writers is hosting a virtual Facilitator Training in October 2021.
Warrior Writers' creative writing workshops offer prompts that cover a variety of military issues and experiences. This encourages sharing stories, opinions, and ideas for productive writing/reflecting/story-telling and art-making. A highlight of these workshops for many veterans is having a space to release bottled-up thoughts and emotions among others who understand, creating a sense of empowerment in the ability to tell their own story. By creating an open and accepting atmosphere, we build a community of support. Workshops are for any service member or veteran regardless of experiences with writing, combat, art, deployment, etc.
Becoming a facilitator means you want to be actively involved in leading national writing workshops or working within your local community to bring Warrior Writers workshops to your area, with the collaboration and support of the national office. All facilitators who lead workshops for the national office will receive payment. Paid opportunities are shared with all facilitators. Selection of facilitators for paid opportunities will be done in a way to ensure diversity, inclusion, fairness, equity, and representation.Read more

Join Warrior Writers for their first Editing and Revision Workshop Series! This particular workshop series will focus on how to turn a first draft into a final draft, or at least an edited version! These are not generative workshops, as in they will not be giving prompts to write new pieces. Participants will come to the workshop with a piece they have already written, and throughout the three sessions, work with the facilitator to edit and craft it into an elevated piece of work.Read more
