TechCongress offers a Congressional Digital Service Fellowship Info Session on April 30, 3-4pm.
TechCongress is recruiting a small tech team to place on the Hill, modeled on great efforts like the US Digital Service, 18F, and Code for America, for an eight-month fellowship to support institutional staff to address the glaring technical capacity gaps that have become all-too-urgent during this pandemic. They believe this can serve as proof of concept for the long-standing proposal to build a Congressional Digital Service within Congress, and to build momentum for an increased investment in tech infrastructure on Capitol Hill.
This is a limited term fellowship – an eight month sprint – in order to:
- Meet the immediate need for technical talent to help modernize the digital infrastructure of the Congress, including by helping implement recommendations from the House Select Committee on Modernization.
- Capitalize on the opportunity to galvanize the institution to build a Congressional Digital Service within Congress.
Register for the online info session here, and apply for the fellowship by May 10, 2020.
