The 36th Annual Throggs Neck Veterans Day Ceremony will be November 8, 12:30pm. The park is large enough to maintain social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. The ceremony will recognize the Grand Marshal, Honorary Grand Marshals, the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII where a victory medal will be presented to a living WWII veteran, and a flag folding ceremony by a USMC unit to honor those veterans that have passed during the COVID crisis and did not receive their proper respect.

COVID-19 has caused a modification to the parade. Instead of a full parade with spectators, a small cadre of Legion members and other veterans and community members will march the route prior to the ceremony.
