Trauma Informed Care Training

The Soldiers Project is sponsoring a free training for mental health professionals called Trauma Informed Care being held at the Seafield Center in Amityville on June 25, 1pm.  

Trauma Informed Care – CE Credit

Course Description & Education Content: This workshop will cover how “Trauma-Informed organizations, programs and services are based on an understanding of the vulnerabilities or triggers of trauma survivors that traditional service delivery approaches may exacerbate, so that these services and programs can be more supportive and avoid re-traumatization” (SAMHSA). Changing the question from “What is wrong with them” to “What happened to them.” Social Worker CEs will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
