Travis Manion Foundation Summer Reading Session

Summer can be a great opportunity to get in some reading. Through a new virtual effort, Travis Manion Foundation's Northeast team will offer opportunities for your child to participate in conversations about new stories, while discussing character and leadership skills.

TMF Character Does Matter mentor and Navy veteran Jimmy White will lead a conversation about the book Trombone Shorty by Troy Andrews on July 16, 10am (EST). This engaging story follows musician Troy Andrews - nicknamed "Trombone Shorty" - and is a celebration of the rich cultural history of New Orleans and the power of music. The group will view a read-along recording of the book, available here: www.storylineonline.net/books/trombone-shorty.

This presentation is best geared to 3rd-5th graders. Register here to receive a Zoom link for the presentation.
