Untold Stories of the LGBTQ+ Movement

In collaboration with The Generations Project and SAGE Vets, the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services invites you to kick off Pride Month at the New York Historical Society. Come celebrate the Untold Stories of the LGBTQ+ Movement at this live, cross-generational show on June 2, 11:15am-1pm, featuring LGBTQ veterans from before, during, and after “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” sharing their stories of hope, resiliency, and pride.

Following the storytelling event, The Generations Project and the New York Historical Society invite you to contribute a photo into the Stonewall 50 Time Capsule. There will be portable photo printers and volunteers on hand to help you add a contribution to a physical manifestation of the LGBTQ+ Movement. The Stonewall 50 Time Capsule will be sealed in June 2020 and opened again at the 100th Anniversary of Stonewall in 2069.

All are welcome to attend. Admission is free for veterans, servicemembers, their families and supporters. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.

RSVP here.
