May Webinar Recap #3

As of November 1, 2020, National Veterans Intermediary (NVI) is called the Local Partner Network. Older content may reference our original name.

We learned so much valuable and compelling information at April’s Collective Impact Convening that we couldn’t just keep it to ourselves. That’s why all May we’ve been bringing together attendees and other NVI communities online in the interest of discussing applications for these lessons. In case you missed our May 21st webinar, here’s your recap:

Chiara Cameron-Wood, Managing Director of 2-1-1, United Way of Salt Lake (Salt Lake City, UT) delivered a thought-provoking presentation on putting key thoughts from the conference into action. Highlights included:

  • The value of authentically relating to the Veterans our collaboratives serve
  • The importance of including Veterans in all phases of programming, from planning to execution
  • The impact of trauma on vulnerability, and how that can influence a person’s experience as they access services
