Blue Star Families and Welcome.US invite you to an online forum, How to Welcome Our Afghan Allies: A Conversation with Blue Star Families, Welcome.US, Operation Afghan Allies, and VSOs Taking Your Q&As, on Tuesday, October 26, 2pm (Eastern Time).
Topics will include:
Update on the current stat of resettlement
Immediate needs of Afghan allies
Volunteer opportunities
This forum is an opportunity for government and nonprofit organizations on the frontline of the resettlement process to share updates around ongoing efforts, best practices, and offer opportunities for individuals to participate in resettlement efforts.
While on a mission to save a nation, our military community formed bonds with the Afghan people. Our Afghan Allies are colleagues, friends, and even family. Therefore, the sacrifices they made alongside service members and their families gave rise to today's current duty: aid their well-being. As we continue to process the end of the war in Afghanistan, many feel compelled to take action to support our Afghan Allies as they resettle here in the United States.
