Veterans Healthcare Training Conference

The Veterans Mental Health Training Initiative presents the Veterans Healthcare Training Conference virtually on December 5, 8:30-11:30am (EST) for physicians, social workers, community mental health professionals and legislators.

Hear from an educational and interactive panel discussion on the health & mental health care needs of veterans.

  • Identify signs and symptoms of mental health responses, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and suicidal ideation in veteran patients
  • Review relevant statistics related to the veteran population, including their access to and use of healthcare
  • Recognize the importance of primary care specialists and community mental health providers in screening individuals for military service
  • Discuss the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on mental health of veteran patients

credits. Physician should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
