Veterans Mental Health First Aid Training

NYC Health Department via ThriveNYC presents a Mental Health First Aid Training on September 18, 9am-5pm.

Veterans often forsake their emotional health because other support services are at the top of their priority lists - housing, employment, legal services, and other non-mental health services. That means a majority of Veterans in New York City who are suffering from behavioral health disorders are not getting the supports they need to recover.

The National Council for Behavioral Health has updated the Mental Health First Aid for Veterans training to include substance use. This new 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to make a difference.
