Women for Afghan Women presents Peace, Power & Purpose: A Journey Toward Women's Safety & Equality, a webinar on October 20, 12pm.
This past weekend, the Afghan government officially started its negotiations to end the country's four-decade-long conflict with the Taliban. As the country tries to achieve a seemingly elusive peace, Women for Afghan Women (WAW) invites you to join a candid behind-the-scenes conversation with their team, moderated by Deborah Amos, international correspondent with NPR and professor of journalism at Princeton University.
Hear from Executive Director, Najia Nasim; Head of Programs, Benafsha Amiri; and Associate Board member and former client, Nilab Nusrat. They will bring their first-hand experiences from the frontlines in Afghanistan and speak about women's rights and their commitment to ending violence against women.
