Team RWB, along with the Jersey City Girl Scout Troops from Jersey City Service Unit 12 and students from Explore Middle School, will participate in Wreaths Across America by decorating wreaths and then laying them on veterans' graves at the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery on Saturday, December 18, 10:30am-3pm.
REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans.
HONOR those who serve.
TEACH your children the value of freedom.
We have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, but our service members sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year to preserve our freedoms. In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Team RWB hopes you will join them at any of more than 2,500 participating locations to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget. We will never forget.
Help preserve our cemetery! The Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery, founded in 1829, is a National Treasure and is the resting place of soldiers from the Revolutionary & Civil Wars, the War of 1812, the Spanish-American War, WWI & II and Jersey City founders & legends.
