Your Brain on the Military

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum offers a presentation called Your Brain on the Military: Women Veterans on February 1, 3-5pm. The Intrepid Museum and New-York Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center welcome current and former military service members and their family and friends for an afternoon exploring the links between military service and the brain. Hear from researchers and veterans as they unravel myths and realities about veterans and mental health.

Dr. Colleen Becket-Davenport, Psy.D., of the Military Family Wellness Center will moderate a panel of female veterans. They will speak about the strengths and leadership of women in the military, and the unique challenges they face both during and after service.

Panelists include:

Shay Arnon is a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces (2012-2014) and served during Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

Emily O’Hara is a Human Resources Business Partner at New York Presbyterian, joining the organization in 2016. She served in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the AG branch, from 2011-2016.
